My name is Bryant. I live in Colorado. I have had one kidney transplant already that a friend donated to me because my sickness was causing me to lose muscle and feeling in my feet and legs. My cousin is suffering from acute kidney disorder and he is currently under dialysis. He has been recommended kidney transplant at earliest. We have registered his name under various hospitals in Bombay seeking kidney donation.
Apart from this, we were also personally trying to get in touch with volunteer donors. But due to recent change in law regarding kidney donation, now donor cannot be other than from blood relationship.
The Cousin has lost his mom & dad many years back & has no siblings, so ‘blood relationship’ option is ruled out. This has significantly reduced our options to get kidney in feasible time.
So if anyone of you is aware of any other alternative being followed elsewhere in and outside country then please let me know. I want to take every chance even if there is small hope.
